Texas Rep. Jolanda Jones apologized on Tuesday Democrats fleeing the country Re-divided into the Holocaust.
Jones is one of Texas House Democrats who left the state on Monday to avoid a vote on Republicans’ newly proposed congressional district map that could secure five new Republican U.S. House seats in next year’s midterm elections. They claim that the re-division will disenfranchise minority voters.
Talk to former CNN host Don Lemon Jones stressed the importance of opposing such “racist” actions in New York to avoid the same mistakes that led to the Holocaust.

“We’d better have the courage to stand up or we’ll work hard,” she said. “In this country, we’ll be defeated, deported. I mean, we’ll lose all our rights. If you think this is impossible, that’s OK.”
Jones continued, “I would like to the Holocaust. Well, good people stay silent or good people don’t realize that what happens to them will happen soon to me or to someone I love.
“So even if you do it, man, you have an obligation to help those who can’t do it because God forbids them ultimately target you and your family.”
In a statement Fox News Numbers On Tuesday, Jones apologized for his comments and compared them to the Holocaust.
“I made a statement about Trump’s attempt to deprive black and brown people of the United States and the Holocaust attempt. It was a mistake, and I apologize for it. Trump came for my community and I was very excited about it and made a strong statement. But it was too much and I withdraw the comparison.”

Andrew Mahaleris, press secretary for Texas Governor Greg Abbott, criticized Jones’ original comment.
“Feed Texas Democrats continue to pass this desperate anti-democratic stunt. Unlike these radicals, Gov. Abbott refuses to give up Texans. If House Democrats who abandon Texans take grades seriously, they will return to the Texas Capitol and return it to their job seekers and tell them,” Mahaleris Digitals Digitals Digital.
Fox News Digital also commented to the Texas Democrats.
In an interview with Lemon, Jones also refuted the argument that Texas Republicans eventually needed to return to the country, saying she “seek nothing but death.”
