Floyd Schofield beat former IBF super lightweight champion Tevin Farmer last night at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, to call out Shakur Stevenson last night.
Shakur’s “jealousy” reaction to Schofield
Schofield (19-0, 13 Kos) disliked Shakur’s reaction posted on X because of his win over the celebrity (33-9-1, 8 KOS), and he was dismissive of the win and said, “Don’t have too much Tev (from TEV) is irresponsible.”
He was jealous of Floyd’s victory and the attention he received from fans. Stevenson’s battle did not end in a knockout match. They walked away and fans often booed him due to his non-participating running style.
“Man, come on, TEV, you have to know he’s gone. It’s about to get there.” Shakur Stevenson said in a now-deleted post on X, reacting to Floyd Schofield’s first-round Tevin Farmer. “Any fighter is dangerous in the first round, especially these little kids…. Don’t hype (too much) Tev is irresponsible!”
As you can see here, Stevenson is not satisfied with the result of Schofield’s annihilation of the old G, Tevin Farmer. Newark, New Jersey native Shakur had to foresee the pressure the outcome of the battle would put on him. He doesn’t want young knockout artist Schofield. The 22-year-old Schofield showed a hit power and lightning-fast hand speed that was risky for KUR.
Schofield Kos Farmer, called Shakur
“He came to fight, but the better guy won that night. I want to see what’s next.” Fighthype After he defeated the peasants. “Oscar (Dra Joya) said, ‘Hope, the winner between Shakur and Zepeda.’ May the best man win, yes, I want to go to my roots.
De La Hoya, the sponsor of the Golden Boy, didn’t have much luck fighting Schofield and Shakur Stevenson without Matchroom, while Turki Alalshikh showed interest in achieving this goal. They won’t. The guy they want is Gervonta Davis, who may lose a rematch with Lamont Roach on August 16.
Tank Davis is still popular enough to get Shakur’s promoter Eddie Hearn to go in that direction instead of having him knockout artists like Schofield.
“No, that’s Wacker (to face Shakur in the ring). If you know I want to fight, let’s fight. But after the victory, I don’t need to stand out in your face. Say I want to hit you. Yes, do you know how I think about it? That’s just Ab ****When asked about Shakur’s post reacting to his victory against the farmers, Schofield said.
If there was a victory against William Zepeda at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York on July 12, Schofield would not be allowed to enter the ring to summon Shakur. Stevenson’s Matchroom promoters will not bring a green light to Floyd into the ring as their boss Eddie Hearn hopes to have a big fight with Gervonta Davis next. It’s all about business.
Floyd
“I don’t care about his opinion. I got the win. Hopefully he (Stevenson) won in July and we’ll see what happened. Don’t make any trouble with my performance, because I promise you, his fight won’t end like mine.
Even if Shakur can’t fight the battle he wants after Zepeda’s match against Tank Davis, he won’t turn his attention to any talented contender in a deadly boxer like Schofield or lightweight division. A foreseeable fight against Shakur will be with Isaac “Pitble” Cruz, Devin Hanni or Ryan Garcia.
Untouchable List: Fighter Shakur Avoid
Hearn and Stevenson will focus on the money against safe opponents, with little chance to beat him with the amateur, scoring and hitting style he used in combat. Schofield will be one of the unshakable list of fighters that Shakur will not fight:
- Andy Cruz
- Floyd Schofield
- Raymond Muratalla
- Abdullah Mason
- Herrera Core
