Square Enix wanted to keep Meteor Strike’s name as the official translation of Sabin’s move, as this was always in Japanese, but wizards argued that English -speaking fans who played You As children would be disappointed if the card did not call supplex as a tribute to the nostalgic place that the struggle took in Western Fandom culture.
