The Russian Transport Minister of Putin ‘dies from suicide’

The Russian investigation committee announced on Monday that the 53 -year -old transport minister of the country, Roman Starovoyt, on the same day when President Vladimir Putin, had died of a suspected suicide.

Several telegram channels with close relationships with the security services reported that Starovoyt, a former head of the Ukrainian Course Region, in his Tesla Model X, shot in a city west of Moscow.

Starovoy’s death came into the construction of defensive fortifications in Kursk, which he ruled until May 2024.

It marks the first suicide of a high -ranking Russian official in years and the first to review decisions during the war in Ukraine.

The first reports on Starovoy’s suicide took place only a few hours after Putin officially released him from his ministerial post on Monday morning, although it was unclear whether he died before or after the decoration died.

Criminal proceedings were opened due to alleged embezzlement in connection with the construction of defensive fortifications, including the so -called “dragon teeth” in the Kursk region, the parts of which were partially checked for six months by March 2025.
