These are the biggest sneaker trends for 2025

We’ve been talking about the Adidas Samba shoe for years now – a style that has taken over the fashion world and continues to grow in popularity. I’ve collected my signature striped gum-soled sneakers in multiple colors and they remain a mainstay in my wardrobe whether I’m on a plane or strolling around New York City. As much as I’m interested in sneakers, I’m always interested in adding new styles to my wardrobe. It turns out that 2025 may be a turning point and my sneaker wardrobe will continue to expand as new trends arrive.

The runway shows, celebrity looks, street style scenes, and outfits on my social media feeds are already showing that sneaker trends are starting to shift this year. Some are pure fashion pieces, often suitable for low-key weekend looks. Some shoes are almost exclusively used for exercise purposes, including technical running shoes that are replacing them. Others take a hybrid approach, blending fashion and function. Ahead, take a look at the top sneaker trends you need to know about in 2025.
