Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi On Thursday, sexual change in trans children was something she worked at the “national level”.

Earlier in the day, Pelosi visited the VA Medical Center in San Francisco to review the upgrades to the health system, study programs, and according to a press release from its staff, it is a threat that House Republicans could cut core veteran services.

While talking to reporters, she was asked how her office responded to the pause of “gender affirmative care” in California.

“This is something I work at the national level and we hope we can provide gender care for trans children,” Pelosi said. “It’s a sad thing for us…I don’t know what impact what we do in the White House and in Congress have on the nationwide.”

She called the situation “really sad” and added that the trans flag – light blue, pink and white horizontal stripes – hung outside her office. Pelosi also said several colleagues showed the same flag.

Earlier this month, more than a dozen officials from the Democratic-led state filed a lawsuit to prevent the Trump administration from blocking entry Gender Change Procedure and treatment for people under 19 years old.

The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts, where he believes the Trump administration hopes to ban gender-change procedures nationwide by threatening “baseless criminal charges” and providers of investigations.

The lawsuit calls President Donald Trump, Attorney General Pam Bundy and the Justice Department accused. It challenged Trump’s Jan. 28 executive order, banning government support for gender change actions and treatment, and two memos from Bundy and Assistant Attorney General Brett Shumate.

Pelosi’s office told Fox News numbers that Democrats refer to the lawsuit when they talk about supporting the gender change in children.

Bondy’s memorandum directs the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate and prosecute those who provide sexually altered treatment to minors. Shumate’s memorandum directs prosecutors to determine investigations into doctors, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies that perform such procedures.

In July, Kaiser Permanente announced that it will begin on August 29 to respond to the Trump administration’s efforts to the matter, and will undergo sexually changing surgeries on patients under the slightest. In the same month, Los Angeles Children’s Hospital closed one of the largest clinics for transgender youth and the Center for Trans Youth Health and Development.

Many states have laws that restrict or prohibit sexual change surgery in children. The states named in the lawsuit – California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Rhode Island, Washington DC, and Wisconsin. – Allow such programs.
