Lightweight contender Abdullah Mason has a chance tonight against Jeremia Nakathil in 10-round headlines on the range track in Norfolk, Virginia. Mason (18-0, 16 KO) stepped up his efforts and yesterday Kathy Horn Davis left the main event yesterday.

This is the largest hole punch that Mason matches. It’s a fight that shows whether he has defense and fist resistance to play at the top. It’s a battle, if Abdullah erases Nakathil in the first round KO, it can turn Abdullah into overnight.
Two years ago, Jeremiah was eliminated twice in the second round by Big Punchers. So Mason must focus on getting him out of there as soon as possible tonight.
Nakathila (26-4, 21 KOS) will aim tonight at Mason’s chin, hoping to capitalize on his reputation as he is vulnerable to the explosion of the big boxer. The victory of Nakathila, 35, will assure him that he will have a good salary for Abdullah.

In the chief support struggle, Kelvin Davis (15-0, 8 KO) made progress on Nahir Albright (16-2, 7 kos) in 10 rounds of battle. It was a risky struggle for Kelvin, 28, as Albright had the experience, speed and talent that could lead to unhappiness. Two years ago, Nahir defeated Keyshawn with nearly 10 rounds of decision-making losses.
After Kelvin was pulled apart, his brother Keyshawn was pulled apart and was promoted to the main card after it was pulled apart. If Kelvin wins, that might be a good thing, but if he is exposed by Nahir, it could end in his disaster as well.
This is definitely a fight with Kelvin Davis. It’s more of a 50-50, and maybe even a 40-60 if Albright fights Keyshawn in the same form.
