Tornado Cash Co-founder is convicted after 3 weeks of trial



A Manhattan jury found Tornado Cash co-founder and developer Rome Storm guilty of allegations related to conspiracy to run a licensed currency business.

In a ruling Wednesday in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) District Court, Storm was found guilty of a felony charge related to his role in tornado cash, according to Report to the court of Inner City Press.

A jury found Roman criminals conspiring to operate an unlicensed currency transmission business, which could be sentenced to up to five years in prison. The charge is a charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering or a charge of conspiring to violate North Korean sanctions.
