Zohran Mamdani managed to do something rare in today’s shattered political climate: he joined a faction of the democratic establishment with an army of online alpha -men in shared outrage. Since his victory in the Democratic primary for Mayor of New York City on 24 June, the Socialist Assemblyman has been subjected to an incessant and violent internet attack, especially by the influencers of the Manosphere.
For these men who see feminism, awakening, and diversity, equality and inclusion as existential threats, the attacks are constant. With a torrent of posters, memes and reposals, their message boils to two simple lines: Mamdani, 33 years old, is “dangerous” because he is a “socialist”, and he will ruin New York. He must be stopped at all costs. This campaign has taken on special urgency, as in deep blue New York, the democratic candidate is very favored to win the mayor.
The operation to stop Mamdani received its kick from the highest level of the Republican Party. “The Democrats have crossed the line,” President Donald Trump Posted About Social Truth on June 25th. “Zohran Mamdani, a 100% communist lunette, has just won the Democratic Cross, and is on the way to mayor.”
Trump’s poster signaled the start of a coordinated endeavor. Realizing a Republican victory would be difficult, if not impossible, pro-Trump billionaire Bill Ackman offers to fund a “centrist” candidate willingly challenge Mamdani in the November election. He framed this as a heroic mission to save New York from immediate destruction.
“New York City under Mamdani is almost more dangerous and economically invisible,” Ackman wrote in a long post pinned to his X -profile on June 26. “If anyone is ready to raise his hand, I will take care of the fundraiser,” he offered, trying to attract a challenger. “This is once a lifetime opportunity for the right candidate. More importantly, it is an opportunity to save our city and be a superhero. Life is short and you have to dare to be great.”

Mamdani is a 33 -year -old Ugandan -born, naturalized Muslim US state lawmaker, whose progressive platform -by -deposit buses, public child care, rent frosts, rich taxes -have energy support. His upset victory over Andrew Cuomo represents both a generational and ideological change within the Democratic Party. His ascent was particularly inspired by Islamic, South Asian and immigrant communities, even when it triggers an alarm between conservative and establishment circles

The quote in question reads, “The invisible hand of the market, my ass. That hand is white and carries a ring with a conflict diamond in it.” The line that Mamdani posted on December 19, 2013 is a satirical critique of capitalism. It considers Adam Smith’s famous concept of the “invisible hand” to suggest that markets are not as neutral as claimed, especially for marginal communities. But in the handphere, reality and hue are words that rarely find a purchase, especially when they could disapprove of a story.
Other prominent commentators joined the crowd. Ben Shapiro shared a self -foreshadowing exodus from the rich from New York to Florida because “Maniacs” “exploded” the city. Conservative Pundito Matt Walsh claimed that Mamdani’s victory is equal to New York’s destruction, ensuring to point out that Mamdani is “Muslim.”

The attacks are not limited to cultural warriors. “The problem with socialism: eventually you run out of money from others,” charged congressman Mike Lawler, a New York Republican. “New York is headed to disaster if Zohran becomes mayor.”

Even prominent liberals joined the hunt, attacking Mamdani’s platform. Former Secretary of Treasury Larry Summers aimed at his residential policy. “Kinder control is the second best way to destroy a city, after bombing,” he criticized, adding, “I think this is likely to aggravate instead of improving things around habitable accessibility in New York City. This would be a gross political mistake of @zohrankmamdani.”

Meanwhile, conservative journalist Daniel Greenfield questioned Mamdani’s appearance in “a terrible mosque that prayed for Hamas to win, cursed Jews and Christians, and teaching urged their children to hate all about America,” implying Mamdani is anti-Semitic, anti-US radical.

For his part, Mamdani campaigned for the high cost of living in New York. His victory disturbs the balance within a Democratic party still finding his foot after the last presidential election.
As November approach, the attacks will only intensify. The storm lines are clear: he is dangerous because he is Muslim; He will drive out rich because he is a socialist; And he is against -semus, against a white radical. The Manosphere and its allies use a powerful combination of anti-Muslim and anti-immigrant tropes to try and drop him.
