NATO made history this week, agreeing to massively increase defense spending at Wednesday’s annual summit, but it was the “brother” between President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary-General Mark Root.
Rut appears to have issued a joint declaration on the U.S. presidential announcement multiple times Wednesday and after that, announcing that defense spending will rise to 5% of individual GDP by 2035. Rut said Trump was “worthy of praise” to allow allies to invest more after pressure.
“If you didn’t choose in 2016 and were re-elected last year, this wouldn’t happen,” Rut told Trump at the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands.
When Trump compared the Middle East rivals to “two kids in the school yard,” they “fight like hell,” Rut interjected, laughing: “Then dad sometimes had to use strong language to stop them.”

Rut also publicly repeated previous private comments about Trump – The President posted on his Truth Social Network – He congratulated the U.S. leader on his “decisive action in Iran, which is truly extraordinary and no one else dared to do it.”
“Dad” question
Without further comments, the reporter absolutely has no way to let Rutte escape as “Dad”. After the joint declaration, the press conference began, Sky News honed their relationship rather than in the post-marriage communiqué.
