U.S. President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that Washington has reached a “complete and complete” trade agreement with Seoul, with tariffs on the country’s blanket exports to us at 15%.

Trump also said that in an article on social media platform Truth Social, South Korea will “give $350 billion in funding to the United States for investments owned and controlled by the United States and I am chosen as president.”

South Korean President Lee Jae-Myung said in a Facebook post that according to his statement in South Korea, his country negotiated tariffs with the United States after “collecting various opinions and refining our strategy.”

Lee said the $350 billion fund “will promote active entry into the U.S. markets in industries where we have advantages, such as shipbuilding, semiconductors, secondary batteries, biotechnology and energy.”
