president Donald TrumP said he was right on Tuesday Vladimir Putin In the ongoing war Ukraineand accused Russian leaders of throwing “bulls” at the United States in an effort to end the conflict.
“He killed a lot of people,” Trump said in a cabinet meeting at the White House.
“And I’m not satisfied with Putin,” Trump said. “I’m very dissatisfied with them.”
Trump’s comments came a few days later Pentagon Weapons shipped to Ukraine are suspended – The president said the United States will now “send more weapons to the country” to defend against Russia the next day.
Trump said Tuesday he didn’t know who stopped in arms transport last week.
“Why don’t you tell me?” Trump told a defense secretary, telling reporters. Pete Hegseth Sitting next to him.
Trump has done it again and again in the past, and he said Tuesday that his two Democratic predecessors have taken action at the White House, Joe Biden and Barack ObamaPutin decided to invade Ukraine in February 2022.
Trump said the war was “harderer” than Russia expected, largely due to military equipment provided to Ukrainians by the United States.
“That was a war…that should never have happened, a lot of people died, it should be over,” Trump said.
“If you want to know the truth, Putin gets a lot of bulls,” Trump said.
“He has always been kind, but it turns out to be meaningless.”
Trump and Putin spoke over the phone on July 3, and the White House said it lasted for nearly an hour.
Later that day, he told reporters that the call was disappointing.
“I’m very disappointed with the conversation with President Putin today,” Trump returned to Washington after a visit to Iowa.
Trump said: “I don’t think he wants to stop” the war in Ukraine. “That’s so bad.”
