president Donald Trump On Saturday night, the FBI “may have to” assembling a group of Democratic lawmakers fleeing Texas to avoid voting on the state’s proposed redivision map.

The president replied that Democrats “abandon” the state rather than fighting it in the legislature is a bad look.
“Well, I think they’ve given up on the state,” he said. “Even if they’ve done it twice before, they haven’t seen anything like that. And, somehow, it looks like they’ve given up on the state. It looks awful.”

Peter Doocy of Fox News Channel asked if he thought Texas’s re-division plan deserved the same revenge as risking the blue state, Trump replied: “They will do it anyway.”
“Why, if we stopped there, they would still do that,” he said. “Look, a lot of countries, I know, I watched Democrats complain this morning, they complain in the countries they do, like in Illinois, like in Massachusetts.”
“The Democrats have done it for a long time before we started. They’re everywhere. They’ve done it New York. They did it in many different states,” Trump continued.

The president continued to praise Texas’ rezoning plan and said, “There is great support for it.” He also praised Abbott, saying that the future of the plan depends on him.

“Texas is a place that does a good job with a free enterprise attitude, the exact opposite of what happened to the Communist mayor in New York. They know what they are doing. And they are doing the right thing.” “So, we’re going to see what’s going on. We have a great governor in Texas. He has a strong feeling about it. It’s going to be up to him.”
