“Many people stood up and wanted to fight against Senator Tom Tillis in the primary election,” Trump wrote in The Society of Truth.
He continued: “I will meet them in the next few weeks to look for people who will correctly represent the great people of North Carolina, so it is important that the United States of America is the United States of America.” “Thank you for your attention on this matter!”
Tillis, who is due to re-election in 2026, objected to Trump’s spending bill earlier Saturday, fearing in-depth layoffs on Medicaid.

The senator vowed not to support the measure by launching debates and amending the procedural barriers required to vote for marathons, which would ultimately lead to a vote on the final paragraph of the measure.
When he left the Senate Republican closed-door lunch on Saturday, North Carolina State Assemblyman Said he has a “good relationship” with colleagues, but he can’t support the huge bill.
“We’re just having a disagreement,” he said. “And, you know, my colleagues have done the analysis and they’re happy with the impact on the country. I respect their choice. It’s not a good impact on my state, so I’m not going to vote on moving on to the motion.”

The Senate cleared the barriers late Saturday and began debate on the bill with a 51-49 vote. R-Ky. Senator Rand Paul, another Republican, joined Tillis to vote.
“Rand Paul votes again tonight’ No? What’s wrong with this guy??” Trump wrote about Truth Social.
Senate Republicans Maintaining a majority of seats of 53-47, you can only lose three votes. R-Maine Senator Susan Collins said earlier that she would help the bill pass the first step, but tends to vote for the final passage of the bill unless the legislation “changes further.”
Collins and other Republicans retained, R-Mo. Sens. Josh Hawley and R-Wis. Ron Johnson, voted to pass the first critical procedural barrier at least to advance legislation.

The latest version of the bill lowers the interest rate crackdown for providers by one year, adding $25 billion to the rural hospital stability fund over the next five years.
During a closed lunch earlier this week, Tillis warned that North Carolina could lose up to $40 billion in Medicaid funds if the changes were codified. He also plans to further analyze the impact of Medicaid cuts on his state, i.e., he said no one in the “government or this building” could refute.
“The president and I have already talked to him and I just told him, ‘Look, if that works for the country, it would be great. “We’re just based on the differences in implementation in the respective states. ”
