President Donald Trump threatened to block the Washington Commanders’ offer to build a new stadium in the Columbia district and escalate his feud with the NFL franchise because of his decision to change its name from the Redskins.

Trump is limited in what he can do against sports teams outside of Washington, DC. However, the commanders are planning to build a new stadium on land managed by the US National Park service. The tract’s RFK stadium was around three decades in the team until 1996.
