The new charges were released in the indictment issued last Friday.
According to the woman’s family, she has been worried about attracting attention during the days of the murder.
Now, her family is shocked and destroyed by the killing.
Arsene Williams, the victim’s brother, spoke with Fox News: “(We) people in this country are murderers, rapists, abusers…we don’t need it, we already have enough in our society.”

There was no indication that the defendant had filed a defense on the indictment.
The Department of Homeland Security told Fox News that Sagastume-Rivas entered the United States illegally on March 17, 2021 and was US Border Patrol.

“He was notified by the previous administration to appear and placing it into the country,” the statement said. “The judge ordered his removal from office on July 11, 2023. On March 18, 2025, he was arrested by the Cobb County Police Department for the death penalty and other crimes.”
