“If they leave the group, it’s a favorable draw, then we might say, ‘You have to go to the quarterfinals as a host country.’ But I think the draw depends on a lot,” he said. “So there’s a lot to say about this. But I do understand the level of urgency. What I’m going to say is that the anxiety of the U.S. men’s national team is in line with the development of the country’s sport.”
