Throughout his career, Victor Glemaud Having looked at what he designed from every angle to the fashion designer’s eye until now. When Glemaud was named after a curved track, containing the size and creative knitted outfit, he began working with Patterson Flynn to use a series of carpets (owned by a company owned by Interiors Brand Schumacher), with its Handmade carpets are famous for looking in one direction: downward, floor level.
“You are designing something that might be partially covered – whether it’s made of sofas, chairs, coffee tables or something else,” says Glemaud, who has been dabbled in interior design for the second time using this collection. First of all, Schumacher’s textiles, and the opportunity to communicate with them led him to design the carpet. “What I have to figure out is: How do you get the pattern and color variations, but also convey the softness of my knit? In the end, you don’t want the carpet to look or feel flat.”
To be sure: Glemaud succeeded in achieving his goal. If I had unfolded one of Glemaud’s Patterson Flynn carpets at home, I wouldn’t have a footstool. With his geodes and scrolling lines, floral borders and Chevron twists and turns, not to mention his palette (Terracotta, Pearl Gray, Azure, Yellow) – I would hate to cover up any of them. A frustrating experience when stating a rug can sometimes feel a little like a bank statement because you know exactly what it will say (or in this case, it looks like) – Glemaud’s design is witty and warm Zingy and original .
