North Hampton is located near the Massachusetts border, about eight miles south of Portsmouth. WMUR spoke with the pilot of the plane, identified as Dave Lennon, who said he was practicing landing when the plane crashed.

“I shot at the end of the runway, and I obviously didn’t do it,” he said. “It’s closer to the house than I thought.”

Lennon told WMUR he noticed something wrong with the inclination of the plane.

“It started to dip in, and I said to myself, ‘Oh, no,’ and tried to stick with it to prevent it from stagnating completely.”

“I walked out without scratches, I’m fine. That’s what I’m going to say,” Lennon added. “I’m glad. It might be worse.”

Officials at Hampton Airfield told Fox News Digital that they were “grateful and uninjured” and added that the crash was under investigation.
