Vitra reissues Jean Prouvé Antony meat release date

Swiss Furniture Manufacturer and Design Archives Glass The last piece designed by famous French designers and engineers has been reissued Jean Prouvé. With its original loose form and bold red hardware replay, Anthony Chair reintroduces the first chair in the Vitra Design Museum Collection of a new generation of design enthusiasts.

Ateliérs Jean Prouvé was originally designed in the early 1950s for the University of Cité in Anthony, France. The iconic work on the chair resembles the Compas Direction table, which comes in Prouvé’s signature red tone rouge tights, with powder-coated legs in a transverse tubular support system and a pair of metal stands to support the European pine seat. With its unique grains, the plywood shell further stimulates the natural grains by protecting them with a wax finish.

In 1984, Vitra honorary chairman Rolf Fehlbaum acquired an original model that became the incorporation of the chief chair into the Vitra Design Museum Collection. Since then, the Prouvé family and Vitra have developed a strong relationship, resulting in a series of reissues of Prouvé’s beloved designs and dedicated to the 2006 exhibition for his legacy.
