Trump said Musk had been “crazy” until a week ago and threatened to kill a federal contract with his company, which included SpaceX.
Musk, in turn, said Trump was unlikely to be elected president without strong financial support and accused Republicans of being upset about it and said he said he had ousted Musk from the White House because the CEO “wears thin.”

Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wiles told NBC News separately: “There is no plan today” when political reports say the White House aide’s report “is scheduled to call on Friday with Tesla’s billionaire CEO to make peace.”
But one administration official told NBC: “There could be anything – I want to reduce a very unfortunate situation.”
“At least there is no phone number right now,” the official said.
