Initiator Eddie Hearn wants to position Austin Ammo Williams as the middleweight champion, but he has to headlines against Patrice Volny on Saturday, March 15. Williams (17-1, 12 KOS) and Volny (19-1, 13 KO) met in 12 major events held at Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida. The activity will be displayed Living in Daz.

Hearn blames some of Williams’s past impressive performances on his lack of ideal preparation. He was “indifferent” in the camp and was not fully “spiritual” prepared. His tenth round knockout against Hamzah Sheeraz last year might be what Hearn said. In that battle, Ammunition injured Sheeraz early but did not kill. Losing a hype job like Sheeraz is disappointing because it would be a very shocking battle if ammunition stepped onto the accelerator.
Hearn’s vision
Volny, 35, can punch, defeated his last three opponents. If Williams can’t take him out there, he may be at risk of being stopped for a second time. Apparently, this will undermine Hearn’s plan to win him a title, and he may have to rethink his career goals.
“In the past, the problem with ammunition was not that he wasn’t good enough, but that he wasn’t prepared enough. Sometimes he wasn’t 100% spirit there. Sometimes his camp was a little cold.” DAZN BoxingTalk about the battle with Patrice Volny in Orlando, Florida this Saturday night.
Williams, 28, lost only once in his six-year career, but he has not faced any killers except for the deeply flawed Sheeraz. The other 17 guys in Ammunition Battle don’t have names that most fans have never heard of.
“This is the first time he has had a strong and decent camp. It’s a tough fight. Volny is a big guy, he’s a serious middleweight,” Hearn said. “He’s a good fighter. The story of Williams ammunition is incredible. I look back at his career debut, and he’s this young, exciting kid. Then you browse anywhere he packs and everything he does.”
The threat of Volney
Volney is a real big guy. Standing next to the ammunition, he looked like a super middleweight. It’s hard to believe he’ll lose weight tomorrow because he looks big. Williams looked short and clumsy next to him.
“He’s still here after all these issues and issues he’s having, but you have to count it,” Hearn said of ammunition. “The story is good, but if you get beaten, you can only make one story. It’s a roller coaster when you compare people to ammunition. Let’s not twist on thinking you can lose. Losing it is never possible, but you can certainly come back from it.”
The initiator can only do a lot of things and build fighter jets by telling their life stories. If the fighter fails to win, these things don’t work with the fans. They don’t care what a warrior has experienced in life to get to their place. If they don’t win, fans won’t bother.
Must fight
“The reality is, in this sport, if you’re not good enough, you won’t win. That’s it. If you’re not good enough, you can look in the mirror. As long as you give everything, you can go again,” Hearn said.
“You have a lot of quality fighters, but you have a lot of fighters without a lot of profiles, and they are looking for opportunities with good names in exciting battles,” when asked what are the possibilities Austin Williams have in the middleweight game in the event of Saturday’s victory against Volny on Saturday.
“You have the WBO champion (Janibek Alimkhanuly). I think he will rise at some point (to 168). You just saw (WBC champion) Carlos Adames beat Hamzah Sheeraz. He was a good fighter, but I wasn’t shocked by him. Then, you have (WBA champion Erislandy) Lara. He is a great fighter, but he’s already started (41 years old).
“Listen, we want to roll dice for the world middleweight champion with Ammunition Williams, but he has to win on Saturday,” Hearn said.
