Xlarge has dug out the fast-casual restaurant chain, which is rapidly expanding to 70 locations across the continent, the first ever clothing collaboration. To kick off the partnership, the brand customized design of staff uniforms for Takumi Ramen and offers a T-shirt design that is now available to the public.

From the rise of underground music scenes and hi-fi listening bars in Tokyo to the bustling Ithacayas, the streets line up, Xlarge’s special edition T-shirts and Takumi Ramen pay tribute to the city’s fast-paced Slurp and-go-go Ramen culture. The uniform style T-shirt design features Xlarge’s gorilla icon and the words “Sapporo Ramen” on the front panel, focusing on the restaurant’s classic dishes. The T-shirt is paired with white and black colors and comes with a variety of branded stickers in green, red, black, orange and blue.
Takumi Ramen was founded in 2007 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Since then, it has gained recognition for its warm, flavorful soups and Japanese street food with the motto of “no ramen, no life”. To celebrate the collaboration, Xlarge and Takumi Ramen held a special event in Berlin that blended food, fashion and music. “Japan quality is in line with global culture.” This collaboration marks a bold step for Xlarge, a project that integrates fashion and ramen into a global cultural phenomenon.
