YouTube updates the purchase experience for pants, the company announced Wednesday. The platform launches new shopping product stickers to facilitate viewers to know that the products used are briefly available.
The new stickers could be a way for creators to increase their income. During its testing last month, YouTube found that pants with shopping product stickers saw more than 40% more clicks on products than pants with the shopping, it said.
Previously, labeled products were shown in a banner in the bottom-left corner of pants with shopping. Clicking on the banner opened a list of products available for viewers to browse and shop.

Now creators can label products in their short to automatically generate a sticker based on the first product they labeled. They can then adjust the size and placement of the sticker.
When multiple products are labeled briefly, viewers can tap on the downward arrow on the sticker to see the full list of products. After they click on a product they are interested in, they will be redirected to the retailer’s website for that product.
Shopping product stickers are rolled over the next week and will be available worldwide, wait in South Korea, but YouTube plans to launch the feature there soon.
