Italian furniture company Zanotta Continue creative dialogue with the Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen By expanding the Z24 series originally launched in 2024. This new partnership introduces three new drawers and Z24 book shelves, each playing bold geometry, saturated colors, and the expressive energy of Zig-Zag patterns.

“For us, it’s a great opportunity to blend our quirky design language with Zanotta’s iconic aesthetics,” explains Fien Muller and Hannes van Severen. This shared spirit is a work that blends creative freedom with structural coherence.

The Z24 bookcase has two heights and is considered a functional storage piece and is also a striking spatial element. It is designed for flexibility, it can be fixed alone, sit on a wall, or gracefully separate the room with sculpture. Smooth painted steel sides – formed in tones like anchovies, oranges and algae – have Hallmark Zig-Zag curves that blend seamlessly with natural oak frames. The designer noted: “The recurring zigzag shapes are both very sculptural elements and structural elements. This interaction between form and function produces a rhythmic composition that coexists harmoniously in visual tension and materials.

In the bookcase, the new drawer box introduces the horizontal expression of the zigzag pattern. These storage units come in three dimensions and a series of soft and vivid finishes, from subtle wax to bold grass green. They maintain a cohesive design identity while advocating personal roles. These pieces seamlessly integrate into the wider Z24 family, expanding the vocabulary of the series’ movement, texture and utility. In the latest chapter of this chapter, Zanotta strengthens her role as a champion of forward-looking design, continuing to partner with leading creatives to blend artistic and contemporary life in a unique and unexpected way.
