Openai builds its own X-like social media network, according to a new report of The verge. The project is still in the early stages, but there is an internal prototype focused on the image generation of Chatgpt, which contains social food.
The report states that it is unaware of whether Openai plans to launch the social network as a standalone app or if it plans to integrate it into the ChatGpt -App.
With this new social network, Openai would take X and the social platforms of Elon Musk and the social platforms of Meta, Facebook and Instagram. The new app would also allow Openai to access real-time data to train their AI models, something X and Meta already have.
Sam Altman, General Manager of Openai, was privately asking outsiders to feed the social network.
At that time it is unclear whether the project will ever be launched publicly, but the existence of a prototype shows that Openai is seeking to expand beyond its current offers.
